A Message from the Chair of Governors

The governors of the Godolphin and Latymer School Foundation have taken the very difficult decision to close Redcliffe Gardens School permanently from the end of the Summer Term 2023.  The decision has been taken, with great regret, after thorough and conscientious exploration of other options.

Redcliffe was brought into the Foundation in September 2020 with the intention to build pupil numbers and support the school as it grew back to its previous size and success.  However, despite the best efforts of the governors and staff, we have not seen the turnaround in pupil numbers which was needed to secure the financial future of the school.  A number of external factors have made the context especially challenging, with the Covid pandemic adding very significant pressures.

Our priority now is to help the Redcliffe families secure a place for their child at another good local school from September 2023.  We are, of course, also providing support and consultation for all the Redcliffe teachers and support staff at this sad and unsettling time for them.
