Head’s Welcome
Mrs Sarah Glencross
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our website which I hope captures the energy, warmth and atmosphere of Redcliffe Gardens School, and all the wonderful things that happen in this remarkable school every day. Redcliffe is a small school, with a big heart, with all the advantages of being part of the bigger Godolphin and Latymer School Foundation: everybody knows everyone and there is a very genuine family feel. Staff get to know all our children as individuals and our exceptional pastoral care is based on caring for every child and providing personalised support.
At Redcliffe we encourage curiosity and open children’s eyes to the wonder of learning; we develop confidence so that pupils embrace new challenges without fear of failure; and we foster a culture of kindness so that our children are happy and caring members of our school community.
Our teaching is modern, ambitious and inspiring and focuses on developing skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and collaboration. Our team of specialist staff are professional and talented and care deeply that every child fulfils their individual academic potential and becomes an independent and creative learner. Academic success is important, but so too are the opportunities for children to become rounded, interesting and interested young people and we foster curiosity and confidence through an enriching programme of sport, culture and the arts. Every child, whatever their strengths, plays in a sports team, sings in a choir and speaks in front of others in our weekly open assemblies.
Our children move on at the end of Year 6 to a range of top Senior Schools – boarding, day, single-sex and co-educational – confident, capable and adaptable young learners ready to fulfil the promise that their futures hold.
