Algorithms and Beebots

Year 1 have been learning about algorithms in their ICT lessons this week.

Students made their own Lego creations, built a Potato Man character and, after learning how to program specific instructions, had a lot of laughs programming Miss Williams to do different jobs around the classroom! They used their new found knowledge to program a toy and had lots of fun directing a Beebot to different places on a map. To make sure the Beebots did what they wanted, they had to think carefully about the instructions they gave them and the order of which buttons to press.
