Atom Learning’s Young Authors Competition

Congratulations to Max who received a certificate for his entry in Atom Learning’s Young Authors Competition.

The national competition, which involved students in Years 2-6, took place over the summer. In their English lessons before the end of the school year, students had been learning how to write to entertain, inform and to persuade through narratives, recounts and arguments. Armed with their newfound knowledge, they began planning and drafting their stories that followed the competition’s theme of ‘A Day that Changed the World’. Students were allowed to interpret the theme in any way that they liked, and it was fascinating to read where their writing took them.

Congratulations to Max whose story, with a compelling plot and thought-provoking message, left the judges thirsty to read more!
