Christmas Comes to SW10

3rd December 2021

The Christmas elves have been very busy at Redcliffe this week helping pupils to deck the hallways and classrooms with fabulous decorations and beautiful festive artwork – Christmas really has arrived in SW10!

In Cookery Club our budding masterchefs made and decorated a traditional Christmas cake while Year 1 children got into the Christmas spirit in their Cosmic Yoga session which, in a departure from the traditional yoga lesson, included some amazing reindeer and skating moves. Our Year 6 pupils incorporated a Harry Potter theme into their Christmas cards for a more modern twist – we’re sure our alumnus, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, would approve!

As always the Christmas Nativity was one of the highlights of our week’s events and was a tremendous success; all the Nursery, Reception and Year 1 pupils should be very proud of their contribution to our interpretation of the Christmas story. Many thanks to the brilliant members of staff who helped create our special retelling of the traditional tale and to the parents who came along to support us.

As is traditional at Redcliffe, everyone enjoyed the annual pantomime on Thursday afternoon. Puss in Boots was performed by Playhouse Pantos’ team of actors who came into school and entertained everyone with the swashbuckling adventures of Puss and Baroness Gwendolen.
