Fiction versus Non-fiction

This week, Year 1 students have been learning about the differences between fiction and non-fiction.

Examining the books in the classroom, students learnt about the different types of fiction and non-fiction books and were tasked with sorting them into piles of fiction and non-fiction based on their identifying features. Having determined which were which, children began researching facts about the planets from our collection of non-fiction books on the solar system.
