‘Izzy Gizmo’ concert at Wigmore Hall

27th May 2022

Years 1 and 2 were treated to a concert based on the best-selling children’s book Izzy Gizmo at the Wigmore Hall this week.

A musical story about resilience, perseverance, kindness and freedom, Izzy Gizmo tells the enchanting story of an intrepid young inventor who puts her talents to work to rescue a crow that can’t fly. The concert was led by Polly Ives and Ensemble 360 featuring piano, violin, cello, clarinet, flute, and piccolo. Each instrument was introduced at the beginning and the children learnt songs and actions that they performed during the concert.

Together with story-telling and visuals from the book, the concert was a great introduction to live music for RGS students.
