Making Music with Godolphin and Latymer
15th October 2021On Tuesday, Upper School pupils were visited by instrumentalists and music staff from our sister school, Godolphin and Latymer. They were treated to performances on the violin, cello, piano and voice. One pupil sang and accompanied herself on the piano, a feat that the pupils were very impressed by. A particular highlight was the performance of Karl Jenkins’ Palladio played by Godolphin and Latymer’s string quartet.
Redcliffe Gardens School pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions about each performance and instrument and the morning finished with a vocal workshop where pupils in Years 2, 3 and 4 learnt a three-part round, plus ostinato, led by Godolphin staff.
It was a wonderful to welcome Godolphin and Latymer pupils and staff to Redcliffe Gardens School and we look forward to repeating this event in the Summer Term.
