Fundamental British Values
These principles are embedded in the school
We positively promote the Fundamental British Values: democracy; individual liberty; mutual respect; tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs; and the rule of law. Redcliffe pupils’ are introduced to these principles which are discussed and embedded in the school through our values and ethos. We have a diverse student body which enables us to celebrate and learn about traditions and practices of different faiths and cultures.
Subjects such as PSHEE, RE, History and Geography are particularly relevant in helping us to develop and extend our pupils’ understanding of British Values across the curriculum, Our assemblies, House system, and culture of respect and kindness strengthen our children’s understanding. We have high expectations of pupil behaviour and feel confident that we give our children the foundations for living a life of tolerance and understanding, and the enthusiasm to celebrate diversity.
