ParentsA loyal and welcoming community
We have a loyal and welcoming Parents’ Committee that works hard at both building social bonds between Redcliffe parents, carers, pupils, and staff and raising money for the benefit of our school and its charitable trust. The Parents’ Committee is open to any parent who would like to offer their time or has a particular skill or has ideas for fundraising and social events. We are an inclusive community and everyone is welcome.
The Committee comprises the Chair, Deputy Chair, Finance, Merchandising and Class Reps and serves two main functions:
Fund Raising
We organise various social events for the children, parents and staff throughout the year. During the Autumn Term we organise a Christmas Fair and in the Spring and Summer terms a Quiz Night and School Disco. As well as being hugely popular social events, the Christmas Fair and Quiz Night are our main fundraising events. The School Disco is a fun event held for children and is hosted and funded through the Parents’ Committee.
Home School Liaison
Parents’ Committee members are here to assist parents with the general aspects of school life as well as the social side of being part of a school community. Each class has one or two Parents’ Committee representatives who are responsible for organising class coffee mornings, keeping parents up to date with the Parents’ Committee activities, arranging cards and gifts for teachers at Christmas time and at the end of the school year, and generally being a central point of contact for communications.
