Remembrance Day Assembly

11th November 2022

This morning the whole school community gathered in St Luke’s Church to honour the memory of the millions of people who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom and liberty in a special Remembrance Day assembly.

Having learnt why the poppy is a popular symbol of remembrance in their Art lessons in recent weeks, Redcliffe students made their own poppy artworks which were used as part of the assembly display.

It was a moving service filled with quiet reflection as we remembered all those who have lost their lives in conflicts across the globe.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
