Rockets, Sparklers and Bonfires

Throughout the week, Nursery children have enjoyed exploring the theme of fireworks in their music and movement classes and watched videos of fireworks to inspire their firework pictures. The Reception class also created some wonderful pictures on the same theme and learnt some important lessons on about how to stay safe on Bonfire night. After watching video clips of firework displays, Year 1 pupils wrote poems about Firework Night and a Firework Code to remind each other how to stay safe.  Meanwhile, Art in the Prep School also focused on Bonfire Night and students visualised what sort of colourful and explosive scene they wanted to create and then produced some rocketing work ….
