Light and modern art studio

Our Head of Art, Mr Kevan Bamforth, provides inspiring art activities in our dedicated light and modern art studio where pupils work on a wide range of different skills and techniques and develop their creative talents. Pupils are also inspired by art-related trips and visits to galleries and exhibitions which are scheduled throughout the year, for example:

• Years 5 and 6 visited Stella McCartney’s studios to understand how designers are moving towards sustainable fashion.
• Years 5 and 6 also had a ‘behind the scenes’ tour at Selfridges to look at how the store is working on sustainability in its environment.
• The school enjoys a special relationship with The Wallace Collection and Years 2 to 6 attended on numerous occasions throughout the year for a variety of workshops.
