Wellbeing Week: Mindfulness Activities
10th February 2023Students throughout the school took part in a number of mindfulness activities for Wellbeing Week, from moulding their own playdough to making mood boards. Every class in the school also tried their hand at making mindful calendars together, with designs ranging from walks in nature to cuddles with pets. Students found their zen with meditation and yoga workshops, and learnt the value of music for nourishing the soul with singing and ‘drawing to music’ workshops with Mrs Woodhead.
The school itself has also seen a transformation of sorts this week to reflect the creativity of our students. Paper chains, designed by students as a house activity, adorn the hallways of both the Upper and Lower School with positive thoughts and messages written on them. There are a number of Lower School collages on display throughout the school, and you may see the odd pebble – painted so masterfully by Upper School students – resting on a bookshelf or hiding in a shoe!
