Year 2 and 6 make their own Monet masterpieces

28th January 2022

Last week it was announced that the Claude Monet painting Massif de Chrysanthèmes will be auctioned at Sotheby’s and is expected to sell for about £15 million. After Year 5 tried their hand at creating their own last week, Year 6 painted their own priceless pieces, taking care to recreate Monet’s distinctive impressionist style.

Meanwhile in Year 2, students have been looking at landscapes in Monet’s works. After spending some time studying the painting The Water Lily Pond,  they made their own water lily masterpieces.
