Year 5 and 6 visit Tower Bridge

On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 hopped on the tube and visited Tower Bridge.

Pupils started the day with a tour of the old engine rooms, plus a nerve-wracking stroll over the glass panel walkway. After lunch, the pupils participated in a workshop called ‘Bridge Builders’. Through hands-on experiments, they discovered why Tower Bridge is made up of three different types of bridges and discussed the different strengths and weakness of each design. The workshop culminated in pupils putting their learning into practice to build a bridge to match a real-world brief.

It was fun and interactive visit and a glorious day for students to enjoy taking in some breathtaking views across London.
