Year 5 ponder what all living things have in common6th May 2022
Year 5 have been exploring the topic of living things and their habitats in their Science lessons this term.
Pupils were considered what all living things have in common, with Mr Allan asking how they knew the plant in the classroom was alive. He explained that although seemingly diverse, living things share certain essential characteristics, with students learning the acronym MRS GREN to help them remember the seven life processes that all organisms do: move, respire, sense, grow, reproduce, excrete, nutrition.
Year 5 are looking forward to exploring the topic in further, and there is great excitement at the prospect of seeing the reproduction and growth processes first-hand with our ducklings set to hatch this week!
